The fall colors are starting to show and it was a beautiful sunny day. So...we decided to head to Mount Rainier for the day. The new visitor center had just opened the weekend before, so there was something new to see. The Park is always beautiful, whether its sunny or snowy...and this was another great day. Debbie, Neil, Todd and I drove to the Park and up to Paradise. The new visitor center is smaller, simpler, and fits much better with the "northwest atmosphere". It was built with timber and steel and incorporates many 'green' elements.
We walked along a few of the trails and saw waterfalls, and of course the Mountain.
